2ND PLACE AT THE CO-OP CANADIAN OPEN

The first tournament of 2024 is already over. The CO-OP CANADIAN OPEN was the fourth Grand Slam of this season, which took place in Red Deer from 16.01. - 21.01. 2024. After two busy days of training and a relaxing weekend, we were looking forward to the start of the tournament. With a very solid performance in the group stage, we won all four games. We won against Team Morrison, Campbell, Fujisawa and Sturmay and qualified for the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, we faced Team Kim from Korea. Thanks to a good performance from the whole team, we were able to win the game and met Team Einarson from Canada in the semi-finals. With small mistakes from both teams, the match was very close, but we were able to win with the last stone from Alina. As in the last Grand Slam, we faced Team Homan in the final. Again, it was a very close game, which we unfortunately lost with the last stone. Nevertheless, it was a good start to the new year and we are looking forward to the next tournament in Bern. We would be delighted to have some fans there.
