Victory to End the Season

The final tournament of the 2024/25 season was the Players’ Championship – the grand finale of the Grand Slam of Curling Tour, featuring the twelve best teams in the world. We arrived in Toronto two days before the tournament began to prepare as best as possible. On Monday, we took part in a sponsor event with our partner AMJ. A heartfelt thank-you at this point for the great occasion and for your continued support throughout the entire season!

In the evening, we completed the official ice training before the competition officially kicked off on Tuesday.

Tournament time! After a short off-ice session, we were excited for our first game against Team Tabata from Japan, which we won with a solid performance. We also came out on top in the following two matches against Team Gim and Team Fujisawa, securing a perfect start to the tournament.

In our fourth game, we suffered a loss against Team Ha after making a few mistakes toward the end of the match. However, we quickly bounced back and managed to win the evening game against Team Hasselborg.

With four wins and one loss, along with a strong Draw Shot Challenge result, we secured a direct spot in the semifinal on Saturday evening.

Once again, we faced Team Hasselborg. It was a tight and exciting game with errors on both sides until we played a fantastic 7th end and managed to steal six. This important win earned us a place in the final.

In the other semifinal, Team Homan defeated Team Kim, setting up a rematch in the final against the reigning world champions. This time, we were able to deliver the better game and came out on top – successfully defending our title from last year. A perfect way to end the season, and one we are incredibly proud of!

Now it’s time for a well-deserved season break. After a few days of rest and vacation, we’ll soon get back to summer training and continue with various education and development programs.

A huge thank-you to everyone who supported and accompanied us throughout this season – you made this success possible!
